Devotional meetings enhance the spiritual dimension of human existence where family and friends unite together in prayer. Meetings consist largely of reading prayers and passages from the Baha'i sacred texts, as well as other sacred Writings.
Presently, in these days of "Covid-19 Isolation" the Bloomington Baha'i Community hosts 8:00 a.m. Zoom Devotionals M-Fri, at 9:00 a.m. Sat. and 10:40 am. on Sundays. Please contact us to receive a Zoom link.
The World Wide Baha'i Community has been developing a comprehensive program for the spiritual, moral and intellectual development of Children. Bloomington Baha'i Children's classes would build from this material.
Spiritual, moral and intellectual developmental materials specially designed for the needs of Junior Youth and Youth are also available from the Baha'i Resource Bank and would be adapted to local needs and opportunities.
Thirteen Community Development programs have been created to develop understandings of the Baha'i Faith and begin to translate its Messages into Reality and Action. Examples include: The Life of the Spirit, Sharing the New Teachings for Today, Starting Children's Classes, Baha'i History, Starting Junior Youth Programs, etc., etc.
The Baha'i Founders created a rich array of literature to renew humanity and build up an emerging Global Civilization. Well over a hundred volumes of texts directly written or dictated by the Bab and Baha'u'llah have been left to posterity, of which over 20 are currently translated. Many of these are available for free Word.doc/PDFs at "www.Bahai.org". Study classes of specific books can be arranged.
The Bloomington Baha'i Community supports the Noah's Ark InterFaith Dialog effort, Bloomington Earthcare and the Martin Luther King Commission. We are happy to consult about new possibilities and offer connections we have in town.
"The prophets of God voiced the spirit of unity and agreement. They have been the founders of divine reality. Therefore if the nations of the world forsake imitations and investigate the reality underlying the revealed Word of God, they will agree and become reconciled. For reality is one and not multiple." - AB
